The Council on Postsecondary Education strives to bring Web site users current information in the most efficient, usable manner possible.  Throughout this Web site, the conventions and techniques described below have been used to achieve this goal.

When a document is available for download, it is always identified in the following manner:

• Document Name or Descriptive Link Text (File Size, File Type)

For example, a meeting agenda in Adobe Portable Document Format may be indicated as follows:

• May 15 Meeting Agenda (32K PDF)

Files for download can either be viewed in a browser if the appropriate plug-in is installed, or downloaded to your desktop and viewed with the appropriate application.  To download files, you may do the following (actual instructions may vary slightly due to your operating system or browser):

1. Right click (Apple users control-click) on the file link.
2. Choose "Save Target As..." (Internet Explorer) or "Save Link As..." (Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox).  Note: this wording may vary depending on your browser.
3. You will be prompted for a location to save the document.  Navigate to a location on your computer and click "Save".
