CPE RECOMMENDS OR APPOINTS MEMBERS

  • Committee for Mathematics Achievement (KRS 158.842): CPE president serves as a member; John DeAtley serves as his designee.  CPE president also appoints one representative from each of the nine public postsecondary institutions.  For more information, visit the Kentucky Center for Mathematics.
  • Early Childhood Development Authority (KRS 200.700): CPE president recommends three nominees to the Governor; the Governor appoints one person to serve.  Staffed by Jevonda Keith.

  • Equine Revolving Trust Advisory Committee (KRS 138.510(6)): CPE president appoints members.  Staffed by Linda Linville.

  • Geographic Information Advisory Council (KRS 11.515): CPE president recommends three individuals to Governor; Governor appoints one person to serve.

  • Governance Board of the Lung Cancer Research Project (KRS 164.476): CPE elects two members to recommend to the Governor for appointment.  Governor appoints the members by executive order.  The board is attached administratively to CPE. 

  • Kentucky Educational Television Board (KRS 168.040): CPE elects a representative of the University of Kentucky and a representative of the state universities.  Staffed by

  • Kentucky Wireless Interoperability Executive Committee (KRS 11.5163): CPE president recommends three institutional representatives to Governor; Governor appoints one member to serve.

  • State Advisory Council for Gifted and Talented Education (KRS 158.648): CPE president designates a CPE staff member to serve.  Governor appoints three members from the postsecondary institutions including one from the independent sector.
