Mark J. Wattier, of Paducah, is a professor of government, law, and international affairs at Murray State University. He was appointed as the Council's faculty representative in 2005 and will serve until June 2009. He has been with Murray since 1980 and has served on the Murray faculty senate for a number of years. Dr. Wattier holds a B.A. in political science from Baylor University and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Tennessee.
