Flexible Academic Programming Workgroup
Adult learners often have full-time jobs, spouses, or dependent children. For these reasons, they are more likely than traditional students to attend college part-time. They expect flexible course delivery that fits into their busy schedules. Options include online learning opportunities, modularized content, and evening and weekend classes. This workgroup of the Kentucky Adult Learner Initiative will examine best practices and draft policy recommendations related to flexible academic programming to be considered by the General Assembly, the Council on Postsecondary Education, and institutional governing boards.
