Adults want credit for knowledge obtained through life and work experiences that are relevant to their degree programs. There are several forms of credit for prior learning, including credit for military experience, credit for corporate training programs, and credit by examination. This workgroup of the Kentucky Adult Learner Initiative will examine best practices and draft policy recommendations to be considered by the General Assembly, the Council on Postsecondary Education, and institutional governing boards.
