Council on Postsecondary Education President Bob King is at the White House today for a summit focused on helping more low-income students enroll and succeed in college. The national education summit is hosted by President Obama and the First Lady.

The invitation-only summit will discuss ways that higher education as well as the private sector, city and state leaders, and philanthropy can come together to help connect more low-income students to college opportunities.

The higher education leaders attending the summit have voluntarily pledged to do more to assist low-income students. These commitments will be highlighted during the summit.

Kentucky’s plan calls for a wide range of ongoing efforts to meet strategic goals related to student success and readiness.
