Council on Postsecondary Education
KY HIGHER ED CHIEF TO VISIT MAYSVILLE COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE
The president of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education will kick off the final leg of his community college tours at Maysville Community and Technical College on Thursday, March 10.
President Bob King planned the visits to the community and technical colleges to learn more about the campuses, and to meet campus leadership, faculty, staff and students. At MCTC, King also will tour the campus and the Adult Education Center, and meet with community leaders.
Kentucky’s postsecondary and adult education system is improving the economic vitality of the Commonwealth and the lives of Kentuckians. By raising educational attainment, Kentucky will attract higher wage and knowledge-based business and industry. The overall quality of life for Kentuckians will also improve with higher incomes and levels of employment, better health, less obesity, more volunteerism, and lower crime and public assistance rates.
